Ask parents to help you collect, wash, and dry used milk cartons. Cover each with construction paper, tape the cartons together, and use them to sort and organize crayons by color.

Save odds and ends pieces you find and create a "Go Backs Box". You can ask children to return the items to their proper place, of course, OR keep the items together as loose parts for counting, sorting, patterning, building, and more!
